Rolling River is the only day camp in Nassau County that can give your child a boating program comparable to that of a sleep away camp with numerous options to “Catch the Wave of Excitement.” Our 5-star facility is located on the shores of scenic Mill River, which makes it unique to day camping. The miles of glistening waterways allow our campers to explore Long Island’s natural heritage, within the standards and safeguards of the American Camp Association. At the Rolling River “Marina” you will find our fleets of rowboats, canoes, bicycle boats, kayaks, peddle boats, an 18 foot motorboat and our 25 foot pontoon boat in full use by our campers throughout each day of our summer voyage. And it doesn’t stop there! Campers will feel like they are really on a vacation when they splash down the river on the 2 man tube or our 6 person Banana Boat!

Rolling River’s fabulous, fun-filled boating program is supervised by an experienced, certified adult “first mate”, many additional adult, college and high school crew members and a full-time certified lifeguard. Our crew goes through an extensive orientation insuring that they possess the expertise we require to supervise our watercraft area. Needless to say, safety is our first priority so our camper to counselor ratio is very low in the boats and on the water -  especially for our youngest campers. Everyone wears flotation devices regardless of their swimming ability. Any camper who wishes to participate in our tubing, banana boating, canoeing and kayaking activities must pass stringent deep water tests administered by our Aquatics Director at the pool.
