We had so much fun in the sun at camp this week! We welcomed many Half Season 2 Skippers on Monday with hugs and smiles. On Tuesday, Pre-K groups had a blast showing off their tumbling skills at 5 Star Gymnastics and Skipper Breakfasts continue to be so much fun.We love eating our breakfast treat and singing silly songs together. We beat the heat this week at camp by playing in Sand Playground’s sprinklers, jumping in the pool, and splashing in the inflatable Lagoon pools, where we also got to ride mini paddleboats! Friday’s Carnival was the best yet! We loved bouncing in the bounce houses, getting wet on the water rides, and eating cotton candy and tasty ices from the Kona Ice Truck. What a great way to end a fun-filled week.
“Sea” you all next week,

Mariner Messages
Mariners were on the move this week, gaining speed during the second on-campus Roller Skating event in the Hockey Rink, dominating the Slip ‘n” Slide, and meeting in the pool for some intense relay races! Our 1st through 4th graders really enjoy showing off their developing athletic skills during Intramurals, and they have also been working hard to prepare for their evening shows! We were especially proud of our youngest Mariners this week when 1st Graders and their families gathered Thursday night in the Auditorium to watch the 1st Graders perform on stage and then sing the Rolling River alma mater together. Despite the rainy weather, our spirits were high as we sang, clapped, and cheered. Many thanks go out to Rhonda Goodman, Lisa Hoffman of Hidden Treasures, Nikki Ray & the Theater crew, and of course, our amazing 1st Grade counselors, for working so hard to decorate the stage, teach the songs, and prepare our First Graders for a marvelous musical performance. Congratulations, 1st Graders on a job well done! Today’s Carnival was one for the books, and we all jumped, bounced, played, and enjoyed the tons of water rides, games, and finally cooled off with colorful ices from the Kona Ice truck.
Next week brings waves of excitement for the Mariner division: On Monday, 3rd & 4th Graders head to the LI Ducks game and Monday night, we’ll all meet at Ralph’s Ices in RVC between 6-9 pm to kick off RRDC Gives Back Week. On Tuesday, the 2nd Graders head off to the Westbury Music Fair, and the 3rd and 4th Graders perform Tuesday evening in their show. On Wednesday, First Graders will bounce around at Bounce U as some 3rd and 4th Graders journey to Club Getaway for an amazing overnight adventure while other Mariners travel into NYC to see MATILDA-The Musical on Broadway. On Thursday night, the 2nd Graders are sure to bring down the house at their evening show, and we all can’t wait for the Renaissance Faire on Friday! A jam-packed, exciting week with friends and fun. What more could we want from summer camp?
Each week, I will be posting a trivia question. E-mail me at [email protected] with your responses. The camper(s) with the correct answer will win a prize!
This week’s question: How many Mariners roller skated this past Tuesday in the Hockey Rink? Good luck!
Have a terrific weekend,

Navigator Notes
Navigators had an incredible 5th week! We are so happy to have our Half Season 2 campers join us just in time for many exciting trips. Monday afternoon brought the return of Watermelon League, a fantastic opportunity for Navigators to stay and play at camp, develop their flag football and beach volleyball skills, and then gather together under the tent to cool off with a delicious watermelon snack. On Tuesday, we stayed cool on the awesome water rides of Mountain Creek water park. On Wednesday, 7 & 8th graders enjoyed an afternoon showing of “Antman” at the movies, and then we all journeyed on Thursday to cheer on the Amazin’ Mets at Citi Field. Luckily, the rain held off and we had a great time rooting for NY! Friday brought the bets day of the summer – CARNIVAL. Tons of water rides and games greeted us on the field. The Navigators also ran the “Friendship” and “Marriage” booths- an awesome tradition at RRDC. We topped off an amazing day with cotton candy and colorful Kona ices.
Next week, we look forward to a Mystery Trip, MATILDA-The Musical on Broadway, Hot Skates and Bounce Trampoline Park, and learning how to joust like real knights at Friday’s Renaissance Day Faire.
Have a great weekend,

CIT FYI
CITs had a great week at Rolling River. This past Friday, CAMPLIFIED came to camp and the CITs got to experience a Q&A session with Rachel Fox. On Tuesday, many CITs and Navigators hopped on the coach buses and went to Mountain Creek water park. They had a blast on rides like High Anxiety and the Colorado River. We ended with CARNIVAL – we enjoyed cotton candy and Kona ices, along with all the great water rides and games.
Brought to you by CIT Reporters Grace O’Dwyer and Julianna Risi – WE LOVE ROLLING RIVER!
