Skipper Scoop
A huge THANK YOU to all our families and friends for coming to visit us at camp! We had so much fun playing on Skipper Field and in Tumbling Tides with you, and showing you all our new moves in the pool. Check out the fun things we did this week:- Skipper A&C: Nursery campers made robots and carnival pendants, Pre-K campers made canvas clown ties and rain sticks, and Kindergarteners sponge-painted keepsake boxes and decorated clown masks.
- Cooking – Skippers whipped up Chocolate Chex Mix and everyone loved it!
- Nature – We met Snowy the dove and learned all about her natural environment and diet before crafting our own fireflies and bug jars.
- Woodworking – Skipper boys and girls created mirrors with flowers and sports-themed decorative pieces.
Mariner Messages
Mariners had a busy week at camp! We were all so excited to welcome families of our first grade girls, second graders, and third graders for two amazing Visiting Nights this week to share our camp spirit! Our campers really enjoyed playing games like Spotshot basketball, soccer, lacrosse, and Gaga with you and showing off their swimming skills in the pool. First and second graders loved performing their group songs, too. Plus, Second Graders explored the LI Children’s Museum, Third Graders created delicious pizzas at PieCraft, and Fourth Graders ventured out on a Mystery Trip. We had our first on-campus Roller Skating session of the summer — we are making memories to last a lifetime! We hopped off the bus this morning ready for the most exciting, action-packed day of the summer – CARNIVAL! What an adventure-filled week! Congrats to this week’s GAGA CHAMPIONS!!

On Wednesday, we went banana boating and went to Gymnastics. On Thursday, we had a mystery trip to Buffalo Wild Wings and went rock climbing. Today was Carnival Day, which was awesome. This week, the CITs enjoyed giving back to the community by helping out at the Oceanside Library with an arts & crafts event. We also got to eat at Buffalo Wild Wings after for lunch. We are really enjoying our 2nd grade group, the G4 Angelfish! We especially had a blast going on all the rides and playing the games at the carnival today! by CIT Special Reporters Kayla Velasquez and Sam Reyer (G4)Big Fish
