A huge THANK YOU to all our Nursery and Pre-K families and friends for coming to visit us at camp! We had so much fun playing in Tumbling Tides and on Skipper Field with you, and showing you all our new moves in the pool. Bubble Bonanza was so much fun! We made our own wands and practiced blowing bubbles. We also made bubble art in Skipper Arts & Crafts. Here’s the recipe so you can try it at home!Bubble Art
Ingredients:- dish soap
- tempera paint
- water
- plastic cup
- straw
- spoon
- In a plastic cup, mix 1 tbsp dish soap, 2 tbsp tempera paint and enough water to fill approx. 1/3 of the cup.
- Use a straw to blow bubbles in the cup.
- Use a spoon to move the bubbles from the cup onto a sheet of plain paper (water color paper works best).
- If desired, use different colors of tempera paint in different cups and mix together on the paper.

Mariner Messages
We had a wonderful fourth week here at the RIVA! We played with our friends, stayed cool in the pool, and created masterpieces at Nature, Loading Dock, Woodworking, Ceramics and Arts & Crafts. Second and third graders ventured out on trips this week and we all got into the competitive spirit during Intramurals as we worked on different physical skills on the courts and fields. Here’s our Mariner Joke of the Week… My dog is really good at playing fetch. I am promoting him to “branch” manager. Here’s the trivia question of the week: How many camper divisions are there at camp? Email me at [email protected] for a chance to win a prize! We wish all our Half Season 1 campers a terrific summer and look forward to “sea”ing you all again soon. We welcome all our Half Season 2 campers to the RIVA – we are so happy that you’re here! This week at Rolling River, we had a blast! First up, on Tuesday we had a rainy day schedule so instead of fishing we went to Dave and Buster’s. We had a whole lot of fun! Wednesday, we came back to camp wiht the beach in our shoes after playing beach volleyball at Endless Summer for our mini-trip. I am still shaking sand out of my shoes! Thursday just hopped by when we went to Air Trampoline. My favorite part was the foam pit. Half of the Navigators could do back and front flips, which was so cool! Today we topped fun at Arts & Crafts finishing our tie pillows with bubble soccer! by Special Reporter Samantha Toledano, G13CIT FYI
The CITs went on an overnight this to Boston from Tuesday to Thursday after going to Bowlmor on Monday. The CITs who went on the overnight had fun at Six Flags. The next day, we arrived at the Museum of Science followed by a Duck Tour and I got to drive the boat! Then, later in the afternoon, we went to the New England Zoo and saw many types of animals. Later, we ate dinner at TGI Fridays, followed by a night tour of Fenway Park. We sat on the Green Monster while the sun was setting…it was wicked cool. The last day, we went to the aquarium and saw an IMAX movie about the hidden islands in the Pacific Ocean with their inhabitants. We ended the day at IT Adventure Rope Course. by CIT Special Reporter Isabella Muoio, G7 The CITs went to Bowlmor on Monday and had a blast bowling, playing arcade games, and eating pizza.
