2026 Special Events & Dress-Up Days
Every summer, Rolling River campers look forward to our action-packed calendar of special events, shows, and dress-up days, and Summer 2026 is shaping up to be our most exciting yet!
To help families plan ahead (because we know not everyone wants to run to the store the night before), we’ve created a comprehensive list of this year’s themed days and events, including dress-up ideas. Remember, all dress-up days are optional. If your camper prefers not to dress up, they should wear a Rolling River camp shirt.

Important Reminders:
- Campers and CITs should wear a regular, unaltered camp t-shirt on all non-event days.
- If your camper has an off-campus trip on a dress-up day, they must wear or bring an unaltered camp shirt for safety.
2026 Special Event Days & Activities:
Thursday, July 2 – Red, White & Blue Day
Dress in your most patriotic colors to celebrate the USA with Uncle Sam, Lady Liberty, and trivia fun!
Monday, July 6 – Spirit Week Kickoff: Picture Day
Wear a clean, unaltered Rolling River shirt and smile for the camera.
Tuesday, July 7 – National Rock & Roll Day
Crank up the volume and bring your loudest rock and roll energy!
Wednesday, July 8 – Favorite Sports Team
Rep your favorite team and wear your colors loud and proud today!
Thursday, July 9– Dr Seuss Day
Grab your craziest hat and wackiest outfit, because today we’re celebrating Dr. Seuss in true Whoville style!
Friday, July 10 – Song & Plaque Day
Each group will wear their assigned costume, perform their group song, and present their 2025 plaque.
Monday, July 13 – Rolling River Gives Back Week Begins- collect those coins for our annual Coin Harvest fundraiser.
Tuesday, July 14 – Mariner Roller Skating Event
Bring your skates for an afternoon of fun with the Mariner Supervisors.
Wednesday, July 15 – National Camp Kindness Day
Celebrate kindness with meaningful moments all day long.
Friday, July 17 – Fifa World Cup Day
Rock your favorite country’s colors and bring your soccer spirit for FIFA World Cup Day!

Each evening features games, performances, and family fun!
Friday, July 24 – Carnival Day
Wear a bathing suit and water shoes. Enjoy inflatables, rides, and classic carnival fun!
Last Day of the First Half
Friday, July 31 –80’s Day
Tease your hair, grab your neon, and get totally rad for 80s Day!
Monday, August 3 – Picture Day (Makeups & 2nd Half Campers)
Wear a clean, unaltered Rolling River shirt.

- Wednesday, August 5 – 3rd/4th Grade: K-Pop Demon Hunters Review
- Thursday, August 6 – Navigators: Wicked
Friday, August 7 – Super Mario Day
Grab your red caps and power up, because today we’re celebrating Super Mario Day!
Color War Week: August 10–14
Campers will be assigned to the Blue or White team—then it’s game on! Wear your team color or a fun costume representing your team’s theme each day. The week ends with Color War Sing, featuring songs, cheers, banners, and the big reveal of the winning team!
Monday, August 17 – Synthetic Ice Skating
Put on your socks and glide on in for synthetic ice skating fun!
Tuesday, August 18 – Mariner Roller Skating, Special Jump Rope Show
Mariners lace up for roller skating, and the whole camp gets ready to be amazed by a special jump rope show!
Wednesday, August 19 – Mariner Talent Show
Mariners, it’s your time to shine at the Mariner Talent Show!
Thursday, August 20 – Last Day of Camp
Wear a Rolling River shirt (not your giveaway shirt!) and bring Sharpies to sign each other’s shirts with sweet summer send-offs.
We can’t wait to see your creativity shine this summer. Let’s make 2026 unforgettable, one costume, splash, and song at a time!
This year we are partnering with “10 for 2” to create custom 4th of July and Color War Accessory Spirit Bags. (Important! You do not select your color war team color. The list will be provided to company right before we announce the teams so your child will receive their proper color.)
