Every autumn, Rolling River transforms into a sprawling fall farm welcome to all, drawing over 1,500 attendees for the ultimate local family celebration. Guests can stroll through a vibrant vendor fair, enjoy DJ music, and savor delicious eats from local food trucks, complete with refreshments, beer, and wine. The excitement peaks in the Ride Zone, where kids can dive into bounce houses, face painting, pony rides, a petting zoo, gaga, mini golf, character visits, and creative arts and crafts. It’s the perfect seasonal getaway for all ages right in the heart of our community!

Fall Festival FAQs

No, admission to the festival is completely free! Everyone is welcome to enter the grounds, browse the vendor fair, enjoy live music, and use select playgrounds at no charge. While basic entry is free, tickets are required for children ages 2–12 to enter the Ride Zone (accompanying adults enter free), and all food trucks, beverages, and vendor items are available for purchase on-site.

As the ultimate heart of the festival for kids, the ticketed Ride Zone is packed with endless non-stop fun! Your child’s ticket grants access to bounce houses, obstacle courses, pony rides, a live petting zoo, face painting, and hands-on arts and crafts. Kids can also jump into mini golf, gaga, sports demos, and DJ music, plus enjoy full access to the Seascape Playground and the Dockside District Play Area.

Tickets for the Ride Zone are $30 per child when purchased in advance online, or $35 per child at the event. As a special perk, campers enrolled for Summer Camp 2027 receive complimentary tickets as part of their tuition, which can be reserved in advance through their Camp In Touch account.

We actively monitor the forecast and will make a final decision the day before the event if inclement weather requires us to postpone. If needed, the official rain date is Sunday, October 18, and all tickets originally purchased for Saturday, October 17 will automatically be valid for the new date.

Yes, you are welcome to join us whenever it fits your schedule! festival gates are open from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM, and you are free to arrive, exit, or come and go as needed throughout the afternoon—whether you stay for an hour or enjoying the full four hours of fun.

Yes! A delicious variety of food and drinks will be available to purchase from local food trucks and community vendors throughout the afternoon. We also provide plenty of open-air picnic tables across the grounds so you can sit back, relax, and enjoy your meal comfortably.

Yes! We are proud to partner with local favorites Barrier Brewery to host our on-site biergarten, alongside a selection from a local winery. Guests 21 and over (ID required) are welcome to enjoy these offerings in designated areas; outside alcohol is strictly prohibited. For everyone’s safety and comfort, on-site security will strictly enforce responsible drinking, and guests who fail to do so will be escorted off the premises.

Yes, convenient options are available whether you are driving or taking public transit! Parking is available on-site, in the back lot next door at East Rockaway High School, in the LIRR East Rockaway station parking lot, or via local street parking. Drop-offs are also permitted in our main lot. If you are taking the LIRR, simply take the train to the East Rockaway station on the Long Beach branch and walk just one block north to Rolling River.

No, you do not need to be enrolled in camp to attend! The Fall Festival is a public event open to the entire community, and everyone is welcome to join in on the fun.

No, pets are strictly not permitted on the premises. The only animals allowed on the festival grounds are designated, working service animals and our official camp dogs.
