Rolling River offers a full-service, on-campus Health Center designed to support the daily health and wellness needs of our campers. The center is fully equipped to provide basic first aid, manage daily medication distribution, and support chronic medical conditions.
The Health Center is overseen by a our Healthcare Supervisor and staffed by certified nurse assistants to ensure professional assessment and quality care at all times. For added safety, all off-campus trips are accompanied by a designated travel nurse who monitors campers’ health throughout the day. If a camper becomes ill during the camp day, they remain comfortably in the Health Center until a parent or guardian arrives, at which point a Health Center staff member will escort the child for proper sign-out.
Health incidents are documented electronically through our online Medical Log, and parents are promptly contacted in cases involving visible marks, fever, vomiting, or more serious injuries. If a contagious illness is identified within a camper’s group or on their bus, families will receive an email notification with details and guidance. In the event of a broader health concern, Camp Leadership consults with health officials to determine necessary precautions.
All onsite medications are stored securely in a locked cabinet and administered only by authorized healthcare personnel or designated trip staff. Any allergies or ongoing medical needs are documented and discussed with the Health Care Supervisor.
Rolling River also coordinates and offers summer therapy services, SEIT support, or one-on-one shadow counselors. Parents may contact the Camp Directors in advance to arrange appropriate care.
