Every summer, Rolling River campers look forward to our action-packed calendar of special events, shows, and dress-up days—and Summer 2025 is shaping up to be our most exciting yet!
To help families plan ahead (because we know not everyone wants to run to the store the night before), we’ve created a comprehensive list of this year’s themed days and events, including dress-up ideas. Remember, all dress-up days are optional. If your camper prefers not to dress up, they should wear a Rolling River camp shirt.

Campers and CITs should wear a regular, unaltered camp t-shirt on all non-event days.

If your camper has an off-campus trip on a dress-up day, they must wear or bring an unaltered camp shirt for safety.

Thursday, July 3 – Red, White & Blue Day
Dress in your most patriotic colors to celebrate the USA with Uncle Sam, Lady Liberty, and trivia fun!
Monday, July 7 – Spirit Week Kickoff: Picture Day
Wear a clean, unaltered Rolling River shirt and smile for the camera.
Tuesday, July 8 – Tie Dye Tuesday
Break out your grooviest, tie-dye gear!
Wednesday, July 9 – Wig Out Wednesday
It’s time to get wacky—wear your wildest wig!
Thursday, July 10 – Toy Story Day
“To infinity and beyond!” Dress as your favorite Toy Story character.
Friday, July 11 – Song & Plaque Day
Each group will wear their assigned costume, perform their group song, and present their 2025 plaque.
Monday, July 14 – Rolling River Gives Back Week Begins- collect those coins for our annual Coin Harvest fundraiser.Â
Tuesday, July 15 – Mariner Roller Skating Event
Bring your skates for an afternoon of fun with the Mariner Supervisors.
Wednesday, July 16 – National Camp Kindness Day
Celebrate kindness with meaningful moments all day long.
Friday, July 18 – Lumber Jack Day
Dress in flannel and get rugged for a day in the “woods” of Rolling River.

Snap, build, and imagine like a Master Builder! Visit the Snapology truck or participate in the “Masked Singer: Lego Edition”!

🎨 Color War Week: August 11–15
Campers will be assigned to the Blue or White team—then it’s game on! Wear your team color or a fun costume representing your team’s theme each day. The week ends with Color War Sing, featuring songs, cheers, banners, and the big reveal of the winning team!
Monday, August 18 – NY Islanders I.C.E. Tour
An interactive, inflatable hockey experience comes to camp!
Tuesday, August 19 – Lower Camp Build-A-Bear Workshop
Camp magic meets cuddly friends in this hands-on event.
Wednesday, August 20 – Camp-Wide Foam Party
Dance, splash, and soak in the sudsy fun!
August 18–20 – Youth Fitness League Week with Coach Tony
Get moving with fun fitness activities and games!
Thursday, August 21 – Last Day of Camp
Wear a Rolling River shirt (not your giveaway shirt!) and bring Sharpies to sign each other’s shirts with sweet summer send-offs.
