We are so proud of all our Skippers, who got right into the swing of things at camp! From splashing in the pool to swinging around at Pebble Playground to creating glittery pinwheels at Woodworking, Skippers are trying new activities and making new friends. We had a blast meeting Uncle Sam and Lady Liberty during our Red, White, and Blue Day celebration, too. We can’t wait to see what fun is in store for us next week as we learn our group songs and show the older campers that when it comes to camp spirit, Skippers can’t be beat!
Congratulations to Danielle S. in N11 for correctly answering an American History trivia question during today’s Red, White, and Blue Day celebration!
Have a great weekend and enjoy celebrating Independence Day next Tuesday,

Mariner Messages
Mariners arrived at camp this week ready for a terrific summer of fun-filled activities, sports, and adventures. We were thrilled to see so many familiar faces from last summer and we have already made lots of new friends, too. The Mariners are really looking forward to trying new activities and developing new skills as we embark on our Summer 2017 voyage. Next week, our oldest Mariners head to Active Kids on their first trip of the season and we’ll all say “Cheese” on Wednesday for Picture Day. Thank you to all our parents and counselors for supporting your campers and helping ensure that camp kicked off without a hitch!

Navigator Notes
The first two days of camp were so much fun! We got to see all our old friends. We played many sports and bowling was a blast! We played 2 rounds. We also played basketball with B14 and made bracelets at Loading Docks. On Red, White, and Blue Day we played Capture the Flag. Cooking was amazing – we baked rice crispy treats that were delicious. Overall, the first week of camp was AWESOME!
Congrats to Nicole G. in G14 for correctly answering American History trivia questions today in honor of Red, White, and Blue Day!

CIT FYI
This summer, we are very excited to work as CITs at RRDC! We are looking forward to a fantastic, fun-filled summer. As CITs, we cannot wait to go on multiple trips and spend quality tie with our campers. CITs Hallie and Frankie are excited to play Intramurals and enhance their campers’ athletic abilities. Madison cannot wait to go on the overnight trip to Philadelphia. Natalia is ecstatic to participate in activities with her campers. This year at the RIVA, there are so many fun activities for CITs and we can’t wait to explore them all!
