Skipper Scoop

What a wonderful 6th week we had down at the RIVA! On Tuesday, we had so much fun in the Auditorium when we gathered during a special Skipper Event to play with Freckle Speckle the Clown.  N2, N3, N10 & N11 were treated to a yummy breakfast while we sang songs and read a silly story. We practiced blowing bubbles, kicking our feet, and jumping in the big pool, too! Today, Nursery and Pre-K campers had a blast dancing, clapping, and singing along to Music for Aardvarks, and Kindergarteners laughed and played during the interactive Twisted Sports show. We are excited for Trip Week, when the Fun Bus comes to the RIVA, Pre-K boys visit 5 Star Gymnastics again, and Kindergarteners head out to Once Upon a Sundae!

Have a wonderful weekend,

Mariner Messages

It’s hard to believe our sixth week has come to an end! Everyone is having a wonderful time at camp, trying new sports and activities, and making new friends. Fourth graders jumped around at Bounce Trampoline, we met the gecko at Nature and learned about the food chain. We also played hard during Intramurals as we get ready for the championships! We also enjoyed Boating, especially falling off the banana boat into the river, Arts & Crafts, and of course, cooling off in the pool and on the Slip n Slide! Everyone loved today’s hilarious Twisted Sports show, too.

We are very excited for next week – it’s TRIP WEEK here at the RIVA and everyone is off on fabulous trips. One last question we all want to know: WHEN WILL COLOR WAR BREAK?! Only time will tell!

Have a great weekend!
Fran & Lonny

Navigator Notes

B12 campers LOVED last Friday’s Nerf Dart Wars! Here, some more campers reveal why the RIVA is the best:

Blake: I like all all the sports we play and going in the pool.

Evan: I like to play basketball.

Noah: I like boating because it’s a thing the other camps don’t have. I like riding the banana boat.

Malachi: I like the trips. My favorite was going on the Dragon Coaster at Rye Playland.

Tommy: I liked the rock wall climbing trip. That was my first time trying it and I reached the top.

Andre: I liked going to Rye Playland. My favorite ride was the Double Shot.

Sebastian: I like the trips! I especially liked the Gravitron at Rye Playland.

Sam: I like playing all the sports and going on the trips. I loved the Whip ride at Rye Playland.

CIT FYI

We’re the CITs of N2 and N3. We have so much fun in the Hockey Rink and riding the tricycles  with our campers. We also watch the campers on the paddle boats. They made a splash at the water tables! It’s really great to see them having fun and smiling. We also love watching them pet all the animals at Nature. They get so excited when we go to Music and they play with the drums! In Arts & Crafts they decorated and colored their own maracas. This week has been really fun with N2 and N3!
