THE COLOR WAR 2018 WINNERS ARE
WHITE GODZILLA!!!!
During last Friday’s wild Safari Day, the Blue King Kong & White Godzilla leaders stormed the field for a fierce obstacle course battle. After, they split the blue & white camp flag to signify the start of our 26th Color War. Throughout the week, each team showed its spirit in activities like tug-of-war, Bucket Brigade, Rope Burn, Penny Pickup in the pool, and Apache Relays. We also applauded our Navigators on an amazing show Monday night! Throughout the week, Mariners participated in special Color War competitions like “Musical Chairs,” Navigators continued the Color War battle on the sands of Long Beach, CITs escaped the excitement for a trip to the movies & ice cream, K groups showed off their moves at Tae Kwan Do, and 1st graders were treated to a special bowling trip. Campers also arrived on Thursday in their best Color War costumes for a costume contest. Congrats to all the winners!! Color War Sing took place late this afternoon and both teams’ spirit and love for camp came out strong during the cheers, marches, and alma maters!
CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL ON AN INCREDIBLE 2018 COLOR WAR!
Next week, RRDC campers and staff reunite for our last two days. Alumni families have until August 24th to enroll at the Early Bird and Alumni rates to save hundreds of dollars per child! We can’t believe the end is quickly approaching. We miss you already!
