Skipper Scoop

This week, the Skippers were so busy all over the RIVA. Skippers designed their own military-style necklaces at Skipper A&C, visited with a parrot, bunny, baby tortoise, and hedgehog during the Skipper Animal Adventure special event. We also made everyone’s favorite treat at Cooking – YumYums! We practiced sorting objects and hand-eye coordination on Skipper Field and at Hidden Treasures. We are so excited for COLOR WAR!!

Have a wonderful weekend,

Mariner Messages

We are SO PROUD of all our Mariners who performed in this week’s shows at camp! Your hard work was evident and we loved cheering you on!! 2nd, 3rd, and 4th graders also had fun exploring the Children’s Museum and enjoying the rides at Adventureland! We are having so much fun and don’t want summer to end!! Here’s our Mariner Joke of the Week…

Why couldn’t the bicycle stand up by itself? It was too TIRED!

We can’t wait to “sea” you all next week during COLOR WAR! We know our Mariners will set an excellent example with their good sportsmanship and teamwork next week.

Have a great weekend,
Fran and Lonny

Navigator Notes

G12 had a great week at camp! We enjoyed going to Mountain Creek for the first time. It was so fun! They had a lot of water rides and a wave pool. The rides were thrilling, especially the funnel tube. We went bowling on Wednesday and had a great time. Some of us went to see King Kong Alive on Broadway instead, and it was awesome. Yesterday, we went roller skating at United Skates. Some Navigators tried skating for the first time, so we helped each other out and used teamwork. We got to buy snacks there and also tried out tricks on our roller skates. We’ve been busy practicing for Monday night’s show. We have one day left to prepare. It’s exciting for everyone because some of us are helping backstage and some of us are performing. We’re really excited to find out the Color War teams and go to Long Beach for Color War activities on Tuesday!
