Growth, Resilience, and a New Generation at Rolling River2020 and the Future
The Crew Expands
While repairs from Superstorm Sandy were ongoing for years, Rolling River’s reputation as an elite summer camp remained strong. Marissa, Ali and Jon had children of their own, who were now Rolling River campers. Rolling River continued to be at the forefront of recreational programming. New activities embracing science and technology were incorporated such as STEAM and Tech Lounge. Facility upgrades included renovations to the Sea Breeze Theater, Specialty Cove, Sand Playground and new turf athletic fields.

Camp Must Go On
In 2020, Rolling River faced its largest hurdle yet with the COVID-19 pandemic. While many summer programs shut their doors, Rolling River remained open at one third capacity and altered programs to ensure a safe but memorable camp experience. The camp was praised by parents, staff, community leaders and national press for zero covid cases and providing children with a sense of normalcy.
Celebrating 30 Years and Beyond
In 2022, Rolling River celebrated its 30th anniversary season. The entire summer, once again, featured special events and culminated with a 90s themed, pop-star backstage tour and concert hosted by Sirius XM Hits 1 DJ, Nicole Ryan. Rolling River continues to celebrate dozens of 5, 10 and 20 year returning campers and staff, which proves the amazing retention rate of the camp community and ongoing camp legacy.
