We celebrated “RRDC Gives Back” week with our annual Coin Harvest fundraiser. This year, we’re supporting Education through Music, which partners with NYC schools to provide music resources & education. Thanks to all who donated to our Coin Harvest! Campers also had fun participating in many special activities this week. On Monday, Skippers met author Christian Carl, who shared his story Land of Lots. They also met the character Lovelot and took a group photo. Mr. Carl signed copies of his book, too. After camp, CITs took over the RIVA at their after-camp party and were treated to dinner by CIT Supervisors Becca and Jason! The fun continued on Tuesday, as Navigators and CITs enjoyed all the rides and slides of Dorney Park. Wwe cooled off with the sprinklers, Slip n Slides, and the pool. Mariners showed off their fancy footwork in the Hockey Rink during our annual on-campus skating event. On Tuesday evening, second graders were shining stars when they performed for their parents in the Auditorium. On Wednesday, 7th & 8th grade boys balanced at Gymnastics while the girls rolled around at United Skates. We said “sea” you soon to our Classic 6 Week campers on Wednesday afternoon-we’ll miss you all! On Thursday, the 5th graders tumbled & twirled at Gymnastics while 6th, 7th, & 8th graders were treated to lunch and a movie off-campus. We welcomed the parents of our oldest Mariners on Thursday night when 3rd & 4th graders performed Zombies in the Auditorium . We are extremely proud of our 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Graders, who performed their Theater Shows this week in the Auditorium! Today we are SO excited for all the Pop Star Day Special Events!! Who knows what surprises may wait for us?
