It was a magical Monday at the Riva for Fairytale Day! Our princes and princesses gathered for an Aqua Ball hosted by Princess Aurora herself. The event saw an intense battle between fierce knights and a vicious dragon and suddenly, two horses and a carriage emerged with our Captains to announce the beginning of Color War 2024! The Rolling River camp flag was split to kick off our 32nd Color War, turning the camp into a vibrant sea of blue and white. Some households even found themselves on opposing teams, setting the stage for an epic week of friendly competition. The energy on campus was electric as each team faced off in a series of exciting events, from tug-of-war and the Bucket Brigade to Rope Burn and a penny pickup in the pool. Each division also participated in special Color War contests like Skipper’s “Spot Shot,” Mariner’s “Dizzy Izzy,” Navigator’s “Egg Toss” and “Musical Chairs,” and of course, the thrilling “Apache Relay.” As we go to press, the winner of Color War remains undecided, with the final Color War Sing happening later this afternoon. Who will take home the trophy and be crowned Rolling River’s 2024 Color War champions? Stay tuned to your email and our social media for the big reveal. Good luck to both teams! Next week, we’ll be wrapping up with our final three days of camp. It’s hard to believe how quickly the summer has flown by. We’ll miss you all and can’t wait until summer 2025!
