READ THE SCUTTLEBUTT!
We can’t believe this is the final Scuttlebutt of Summer 2024! As we finish writing this Scuttlebutt, the camp is just too quiet. It was an incredible season filled with new activities, friendships and growth. On Monday, Blue and White reunited for our final three days of camp. We said “Thank You” to our staff with an iced coffee bar and a delicious assortment of pastries. On Tuesday, it was an “animal” themed day. The Skippers and Mariners were down on the farm with a petting zoo and farm bounce house. The Navigators journeyed to the Bronx Zoo and had a blast meeting giraffes, sealions and flamingos!
On the final day of camp, the Kindergarteners celebrated their graduation, as they move up to the Mariner division next summer. We signed each other’s shirts and visited our Wishing Well too. Each group dropped in a star and made a wish for the coming year. We said “thank you” to our long-time campers: 5-year campers and staff received a sweatshirt and 10-year campers & staff received a personalized Rolling River jacket. We also celebrated several special 20-year crew members. Congratulations to our 20 year Crew Members Justin Herrera and Sam Vongerichten. We truly partied all day with a foam party, glow party and special “Silly Billy” show for the Skippers. Each summer is better than the last and we can’t wait to see what next summer has in store.
Make sure to visit throughout the school year for activities such as Fall Festival, division reunions, birthday parties, school events and more. Thank you to all our families for making our 32nd summer the best yet! Have a terrific school year, and we’ll “sea” you all soon. Anchors aweigh & thank you – the countdown to 2025 has begun! We miss you already!
