We celebrated “RRDC Gives Back” week with our annual Coin Harvest fundraiser, which we’re using this year to purchase quilts & pillows for pediatric patients at Cohen’s Children’s Hospital. We created superhero drawings with positive messages for children at Cohen’s Children’s Hospital at Arts & Crafts this week, too! Thanks to all who participated to support the children receiving treatment. Campers also enjoyed many exciting adventures this week! We splashed in the pool with wild jungle blow-up floaties on Monday. On Tuesday, Navigators & CITs took over Brownstone Park for a day of zip lining, cliff jumping and more while Mariners showed off their moves in the Hockey Rink for our annual on-campus Skating event. On Wednesday, 3rd & 4th Graders climbed and bounced at Active Kids, and 6th, 7th, & 8th graders knocked down pins at RVC Lanes. On Thursday, the 5th Grade girls’ went bowling while 5th Grade boys balanced at Gymnastics. 6th, 7th, & 8th Grade girls enjoyed indoor nerf games at Strikeforce Sports while the boys tried getting a hole in one at Monster Mini-Golf. We are so proud of our 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Graders, who recorded their Theater Shows this week in the Auditorium! We can’t wait to watch the finished productions at the end of the summer! Today we say “sea you soon” to our 6 Week campers AND we are SO excited for our Superhero Special Events!! Who knows what surprises may wait for us, but we’ll always be heroes & save the day here at the RIVA!
