Ahoy RRDC families!

We are unbelievably EXCITED toSail-a-Brate our 30th Anniversary Voyage at the RIVA! Our fun-filled first two days were packed with activities from sports to mini-golf to ceramics. We kicked off Thursday morning with a special ribbon-cutting ceremony with East Rockaway Mayor Bruno Romano and a representative from Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman’s office. We also took a few moments to honor the memory of Fran O., our beloved Mariners Supervisor who worked at camp for 28 years. On Thursday, Navigators rolled their first spares and strikes at bowling, as 5th graders visited Maple Lanes and our oldest campers took over Bowlero. Today brought our annual Red, White, & Blue festivities and we showed off our best patriotic attire. Uncle Sam & Lady Liberty quizzed us on American history and gave out awesome prizes. Skippers enjoyed the Petra puppet show while Mariners and Navigators competed during a special Hollyrock Game Show in the Hockey Rink.

Reminder- camp is closed on Monday in honor of July 4th. We’ll reunite next Tuesday and smile for the cameras on PICTURE DAY next Wednesday.
We can’t wait to make some magic next Friday!
