What a busy week we had at the RIVA! On Monday, we reunited for a great day of crafts, sports, and swimming & Navigators kicked off their eagerly-anticipated Intramurals. On Tuesday, we caught the wave of excitement with so many activities! Skippers learned about fire safety with a visit from the South Hempstead Fire Dept. while First & Second graders enjoyed a WOW magic show & workshop. Navigators became zoologists when they explored animal habitats at the Bronx Zoo. We showed ways to be kind during Camp Kindness Day too! Camper compassion continued on Wednesday when CITs cleaned up Lido Beach on their Community Service trip before enjoying lunch at EGP Land & Sea in Island Park. We also virtually welcomed some Nursery and Pre-K parents on Wednesday for our first Virtual Visiting Day. Virtual Visiting continued on Thursday for the rest of the Nursery and Pre-K groups, while 5th Grade boys took over RVC Lanes and 5th Grade girls balanced at 5 Star. Also on Thursday, 6th, 7th, and 8th Grade boys climbed high at Gravity Vault while 6th, 7th, and 8th Grade girls reeled in a great time on their fishing trip. Today, we were invaded by aliens for space-themed laser tag, a laser show, an alien shoot-out, and alien slime-making that were out of this world! Ask your campers what they enjoyed the most! We also tearfully said goodbye to Half Season 1 campers. We can’t wait to “sea” you soon! Next week, we welcome Half Season 2 campers & smile for Picture Day 2. Anchors Aweigh!
