The 20 Signs you are a Rolling River Staff Parent

March 10, 2014

“The 30 Signs you Belong at Rolling River” post was so popular last week that we received many follow up responses listing even more signs you belong at RRDC!  One of our Staff Parents (staff members who have children at camp) even came up with her own list just for Staff Parents (see below).  Thanks veteran counselor Judi Lisi for your creativity!

The 20 Signs you are a Rolling River Staff Parent:

1) You strive to be a “quintessential team player”

2) You always have a sub-lunch available at home

3) You judge all new songs on the radio for “group song potential”

4) You only allow one cup of juice, then switch to water.

5) You always have sunscreen with you.

6) You always wear sneakers and sunglasses.

7) Being outside when it is raining doesn’t bother you.

8) You look forward to snack every afternoon.

9) You will only drop people off on the right side of the street.

10) You say, “I do not see a train, I do not hear a train, I will proceed with caution” every time you drive over the train tracks.

11) You always volunteer to chaperone class trips

12) You have an extensive collection of backpacks and water bottles

13) You always notice when someone leaves a group of people

14) You think your pedicure looks odd without the flip-flop tan line

15) A change is your schedule does not faze you

16) You only buy shorts that go with “Rolling River Blue”

17) You refer to “Navigator Neon” as a color

18) You let your kids play gaga in the house

19) You can’t go to a pool and not watch it

20) You look forward to summer more than your kids do!
