Ahoy from the RIVA!

Visiting Days & Nights kicked off with so much excitement this week! Campers showed their skills on the field, at gymnastics, karate, & swimming. An enormous “Thank You” goes out to all our families for being flexible as we experienced some wet ‘n’ wild weather, & for cheering on our campers. Your participation makes Visiting Days & Nights so memorable! We can’t wait to see more families next week.

On Monday, 10th grade CITs went to the Ronald McDonald House, where they visited with children and their families and created “beach cup” snacks together. 9th graders enjoyed a day at the bowling alley and Ralph’s Ices. On Tuesday, First Graders knocked down pins of their own at Bowling, while Navigators were treated to the thrills of Luna Park in Coney Island. Campers were sure to catch the wave of excitement on Wednesday and Thursday, venturing out on many exciting trips like gymnastics, the Minions movie, mini-golf, Adventureland, Dave & Buster’s, and Madame Tussaud’s Wax Museum.

On Friday morning, campers came dressed as their favorite TV characters as we celebrated TV DAY with special guests including SpongeBob Squarepants & Doc McStuffins. Nursery & Pre-K enjoyed a Sesame Street puppet show while Kindergarten & Mariners explored the weather with forecaster John Marshall, & Navigators showed off their pop culture knowledge with a TV Trivia Show. CITs finished the day with a  late night pool party & pizza.

Next week, Family Visits continue, Navigators and CITs head out to Hershey Park, and Skippers will participate in a special on-campus “road trip!”

 Anchors aweigh!
