Color War 2025 is about to kick off, and we can feel the energy building all across Rolling River! Campers have been gearing up for one of the most exciting and spirited weeks of the summer, and the lineup of events this year is bigger and better than ever. From strength and speed to teamwork and creativity, each day brings a new challenge for our Blue and White teams. Here’s what to expect:
🪙 Monday, August 11 – Penny Pickup
The week begins with a camp classic, the Penny Pickup! Campers will race against the clock (and each other) to scoop up as many coins as possible. It’s fast, fun, and the perfect way to dive into the Color War spirit!
💪 Tuesday, August 12 – Tug of War
Who will come out on top in this ultimate test of strength and unity? Get ready to cheer loud as teams dig their heels in, hold tight, and pull for victory during the Color War Tug of War!
🏃 Wednesday, August 13 – Apache Relays
One of the most anticipated events of the week! The entire camp gets involved in a massive relay challenge that winds through every inch of Rolling River. Whether it’s jumping rope, running laps, or solving puzzles, every second counts!
💦🔥 Thursday, August 14 – Bucket Brigade & Rope Burn
Teamwork takes center stage as campers pass water buckets down the line in a race to fill their barrel in the Bucket Brigade. Then, it’s time to gather ‘round for the epic Rope Burn—an intense, dramatic showdown that’s all about strategy, focus, and fire!
🎶 Friday, August 15 – Color War Sing
The week wraps up with Color War Sing, a powerful and emotional tradition where teams perform their original songs, cheers, and alma maters. It’s a chance to reflect, celebrate, and show true team pride as we close out an unforgettable Color War week.
