Frequently Asked Questions
A $1,000 deposit per camper is required at the time of registration, along with the completed online camper application. This deposit secures your child’s spot for the upcoming camp season. Note that $500 of the deposit is a non-refundable service charge. Rolling River accepts cash, check, e-check, and all major credit cards. Please note that a 3% processing fee applies to credit card transactions. We also partner with Affirm to offer custom extended payment plans, giving families flexible options to fit their budgeting needs.
Full payment is not required at the time of registration. However, we do offer a Full Payment Discount for families who pay their tuition in full by November. Our standard payment plan includes three payments of $1,000, with the remaining balance due in the spring. Monthly payment plans are available upon request. The exact due date for the final balance depends on your enrollment date and typically falls in April, May, or June. $1,000 of your payment made is non-refundable after March 1. $2,000 of your payment made is non-refundable after April 1. $3,000 of your payment is non-refundable after May 1. No refunds for transportation changes after April 1. No refunds for any reason (i.e. absences, withdrawals, changes, terminations) after June 1. A request for cancellation and refund must be made in writing.
Rolling River offers a variety of discounts to help make camp accessible for families, including savings for alumni campers, early registration, siblings, families who opt out of bus transportation, pay-in-full tuition, and those who attend Prospective Family Day, with exact discount details listed in our tuition packet. For families in need of additional financial support, we also offer a Campership Program, which provides need-based assistance to eligible applicants.
Flex Program dates are selected after the camp calendar is released in late winter. Families must submit their chosen dates through their Camp In Touch account or the Campanion App using the “Flexible Dates Request Form.” To guarantee your preferred schedule, dates must be submitted by April 1. Once submitted, dates cannot be changed unless due to a documented medical reason. Additional days may be purchased during the summer if group space allows. All additional date requests must be made at least 48 hours in advance. Note that make up dates are only available for campers enrolled in a Flex Program and may only be granted for medical reasons with approval from the Camp Director.
Yes, Rolling River offers financial assistance through our Campership Program. While Rolling River provides a premium camp experience, we understand that some families may face financial challenges that make paying full tuition difficult. Families may apply by completing the Campership Application, submitting the requested tax forms, and references. Camperships are awarded based on financial or situational need and are not guaranteed. All awards and amounts are determined after review by the Board of Directors.
Camp operates on weekdays from Monday to Friday. Camp activities run from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm. Arrival begins at 8:30 am, and dismissal concludes at 4:30 pm. A mini day until 1:00 pm is offered for preschool campers only. The Camp Office is open from 7:30am to 6:00pm.
Rolling River’s tuition is all-inclusive, covering everything your child needs for a safe, fun, and enriching camp experience. Tuition includes fully supervised daily camp activities, all necessary equipment and supplies, door-to-door air-conditioned bus transportation with a professional driver and bus counselor, daily meals, snacks, and refreshments, uniform camp t-shirts, camp photos, select off-season events, Red Cross–certified group swim instruction, off-site trips, and comprehensive on-site healthcare.
Our primary tuition package is all-inclusive; however, a few discretionary items are not included. Gratuities for counselors and bus drivers are recommended and greatly appreciated, and a tipping guide will be sent home during the summer. Tuition includes two camp t-shirts; additional apparel is available for purchase. For our Navigator and CIT divisions, two optional experiences—a Broadway show and an overnight trip—are offered at an additional cost; campers who do not participate will enjoy regularly scheduled camp activities. Private swim lessons held before or after camp hours are also optional and available for an additional fee.
