Boating

Rolling River is the only day camp in Nassau County that can give your child a boating program comparable to that of a sleep away camp. Our 5-star facility is located on the shores of scenic Mill River, which makes it unique to day camping. The miles of glistening waterways allow our campers to explore Long Island’s natural heritage.

At the Rolling River “Marina” you will always find our fleets of rowboats, canoes, corcls, bicycle boats, kayaks, peddle boats, 18 foot motorboat and 25 foot pontoon boat in full use by our campers. Campers truly feel like they are on vacation when they splash down the river on the 2 man tube or our 6 person Banana Boat!

Rolling River’s boating program is supervised by experienced crew members and a full-time certified lifeguard. Our crew goes through an extensive orientation ensuring that they possess the knowledge and skills required to supervise our watercraft area. Safety is our first priority and everyone wears flotation devices regardless of their swimming ability. Any camper who wishes to participate in our tubing, banana boating, canoeing and kayaking activities must pass a stringent deep water test administered by our Aquatics Director at the pool.
