An Update Regarding COVID-19

As you know, the health and safety of all campers, event guests and staff are of the utmost importance to us. With coronavirus (COVID-19) on everyone’s mind, we wanted to let you know what steps we are taking in these unprecedented times.  We are remaining informed by receiving timely updates from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention as well as from the New York Department of Health. For the most accurate and up-to-date information, we are relying on only official sources as well as through the professional guidance offered by the American Camp Association, the American Academy of Pediatrics and local health officials.

Given the extreme measures being taken by the government, we are expecting that come summer, this situation will hopefully be behind us. As camp is 3 months away, we have all intentions of running camp and providing our campers and staff with another unforgettable summer.   If there are still concerns as we approach the start of the season, we will communicate any changes, program revisions or new policies in a timely matter.  Therefore, we are currently accepting enrollments and hiring staff for Camp 2020.

As of now, our Camp Office is closed but the Office Staff is working remotely to continue preparing for camp.  Our Spring Events and Parties have been cancelled through mid-May.  We will send out an update over the next few weeks on the status of events booked for late May and June.

It is understandable to be concerned and have questions. This is a rapidly evolving situation. Rolling River is the summer home for hundreds of campers and staff and we will do what is right for the safety of our community. We will post updates as important new information comes to our attention in the coming weeks and months. Please feel free to contact us at 516-593-2267 or camp@rollingriver.com.

In the meantime, make sure to follow our social media pages at Facebook.com/rollingriver and on Instagram @rollingriverdaycamp for camp activities to do with the kids at home! We look forward to “sea”-ing our amazing campers and staff on Opening Day, June 29, as planned.

Thank you again and stay safe,

The Goodman Family
